Changing your appointment
If the appointment you have been given as a result of the referral is unsuitable, it can be changed either by directly contacting us or through your employer.
At the start of the appointment, you will be asked whether you consent to the medical assessment and whether you wish to receive the results at the same time as, or before, your employer. You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time. We will, however, need to notify your employer that you have withdrawn consent and that we are therefore unable to provide information regarding your fitness for work.
The main purpose of the appointment is to assess your fitness for work. The appointment will include a discussion about any health issues that might potentially impact on your performance at work or work issues that might impact on your health. You will be able to discuss these health issues confidentially. You may or may not be examined as part of the assessment, depending on the reason for your appointment. During the appointment the content of any report or fitness certificate written will be discussed with you. For more information about reports click here
We have tried to answer any questions you will have ahead of your appointment with one of our trusted medical professionals. If you have a question that isn’t covered here, please do get in touch.
